Has anyone notice how stupid the itap is on the Motorola T191? I imagine it
the same on the T190 too...

First of all there is no way you can add a manual space. There is also no
way of inserting the number 1 or the number 0!! All require you to switch
back to ABC mode, by then you've stuffed around so much you've wasted all
the time you have gained from using itap in the first place.

Also, adding common puncutation like commands and periods takes far too long
in itap mode, one has to hold down the * key and choose from a list of
symbols.

I have no idea why Motorola couldnt have made the 1 key behave as the . and
the 0 behave as a manual space ... or something much more intelligent like
how the Nokia's work.

This is the only thing that annoys the hell out of me with this phone, and I
honestly can't see how such shortfalls were overlooked in the software of
these phones.

Anyone know if there are firmward updates to change any of this? And whether
or not you can get a free update from a motorola service centre if your
phone is under warranty?? Whats the stance on this..
