#1 | | Guest | I am condidering getting a V66 through T-mobile as a free replacement
handset. I would prefer a V60,or a V70 because of the extra display on the
ouside of the closed flip, but they do not offer those phones anymore. I
have never owned a Motorola phone. I would like to try Motorola because I am
over using phones that do not have a standard 2.5mm headset jack. If my
Ericsson T39m had this feature I would consider the phone more than adequate
for my needs. The T39 and just about every other phone I've used or asked
about don't have the standard headset jack. Also does the V66 allow
personlized ringtones which might save me the time to grab the phone, open
the flip and see who is calling? I am set on getting a flip style phone.
Thank You,
Daniel Cairns

If you are going to be a heavy earphone. headset user, you have been warned.
(BTW, I have not heard so much on the V66 as the V60 and 720 and P280. But
also, the V66 has never been anywhere near as popular as the above mentioned
phones.. But not like Moto went out and ordered "special 2.5mm jacks just
for the V66)

adapter for the headset 2.5mm jack. They are real cheap - look for them on
the WEB. I paid about a buck for mine and it works perfect.

I have seen v60 phones availab;e for several different carriers from some of
the smaller online cellular stores. You might try a search of v60 to see
what comes up.

I have 2 StarTacs that had headphones plugged into them at least twice
a day, 5 days/week for 3 years, with no problems.
Having said that, I haven't heard many good things about Motorola's
GSM phones.

FYI
The V60i and V66 both have a standard 2.5mm headset jack, however, you will
find that unless you use a Motorola headset, there will be an annoying
buzzing sound quite often. I tried 4 different headsets before being told
that the Motorola headsets are the only ones that work.

#14 | | Guest | In addition to having good luck on the v60i with the Plantronics headsets, I
also use a hideous green V-Tech headset made for their cordless phones,
which sounds even better than the Plantronics.
