I just picked up a T730 (with Verizon Wireless) and am trying several
    things.

I got the futuredial cable and used the USB cable and verizon dialing
software to get access to the internet. So no problem there and it
    seems to work well.

I am trying to use TrueSync to transfer a decently extensive phone
book from Palm Desktop to my phone. No matter what I seem to chance, I
cannot get it to synchronize to the point where anything is picked up
by the phone. If I enter a new number into the phony and do a sync,
then the entries show up on Palm Desktop.

I would like to be able to pick up games, wallpaper (using my own pics
if possible as I have several at the right format already (190x160),
etc. I have seen a lot of posts and programs regarding the T720 and
realize that hey should work with the 730, but so far I have failed
except for the internet access. What could I be missing?

I was going to try to use GAGIN (BREW appLoader) but it only had Com
ports 1-4 and it seems Truesync is reporting that the port used is Com
    5. I'm using WinXP, Palm Desktop 4.0.1, TruSync 3.1.49.1, and a new
    Motorola T730.

If you have a free (not assigned) port you can reset the USB "serial
    port" to that number.

    Control Panel/Hardware/Device Manager

    Right click on Com5. Properties/Port Settings/Advanced

Change the COM Port Number (lower left). Pull it down and it'll show
you which ports are in use. Pick one in the 1-4 range that isn't.
