soneone who owns one before I buy one.
Thanks!

It looks like the CellSocket for Motorola V and T series phones is
still vaporware.
I ordered one for my T730 phone in early December. Promised shipping
date was Dec. 13. I've not seen it yet. The dealer I ordered it from
-- http://www.eagleid.com/cssupport/ -- is closed for the Holidays,
but following is a quote from his web site:
"CELLSOCKET FOR MOTOROLA AS OF 12/24/03
"A very small shipment of base units and T120 adapters are in at one
distributor. The factory in China has back ordered ALL V60 and T700
series adapters. There are absolutely NO V60 or T700 series module
adapters available! V60 and T700 series adapters will be in until late
January when the main shipment of 25,000 units arrives.

From what I've seen, the v120 series is available now. The T series is
backordered and will be available in mid-January.

It's the same base for all models. The plastic holder fits each phone
model,. A more detailed list can be found here:
http://www.eagleid.com/cssupport/moto.htm
I have the universal base with the T720 adapter. I replaced an older
Nokia unit because the new one has an external antenna, which helps in
my fringe area. Also, it deals MUCH better with touch tone menu
systems, =20
It works as advertised, but has one downside. It appears to be
extremely static sensitive, If I walk in on a cold day, pull the
phone from my pocket and dock it, the Callsocket hangs, It's LED
either goes out, or starts blinking randomly. It does not respond to
wired phones in this mode.=20
I have to unplug the power cord momentarily to recover.
To alleviate this problem, I've connected a wire to the sleeve of the
power plug and ran it up front. If I touch the wire first to equalize
my potential with the internal electronics, then I can dock the phone
without disabling the Cellsocket. =20
I've written to them, talked to tech support, and all they suggest is
to clean the contacts. I suspect it will take many more complaints
before they come up with a fix. =20
I can stand in front of it, dock and undock repeatedly. If I stick it
in a pocket, walk up and down the hall, grushing against the wall,
then try to dock, the thing hangs. Definitely an ESD problem. The old
5161N did NOT do this. =20
The antenna bumps it up one bar, which should help in the summer when
the leaves are out and I'm lucky to get 2 bars. =20
