What's so important to *you* about PTT?

What's so important to you about finding out? If he wants PTT he wants PTT.

Sure they do. There web page clearly states that "Digital Cellular Service"
    is one of their offerings.

actually I live in Shoreham and what you say is partially true but not my
    experience at all.

Between by-pass and J&R steakhouse coverage is spotty - but usable - not
    non-existant like you say.
and yes - occassional dropped calls. Coverage could be better. What phone
    you using. I use a I90.

Have been in J&R or waldbaums and was able to use phone.

Had worse problems with BOTH ATTWS and verizon in my area. Verizon had calls
going to analog (analog site at Rocky Pt FD) and poor quality and ATTWS had
    dropped calls and non-existant service.

there is a nextel site at Ridge FD and Rocky Pt FD in Shoreham but none in
    western part of Rocky Pt.

    Poorer.

If you are serious about the coverage on Nextel meeting your needs
then go for it. I've never met any non-business user for whom this was
the case. Be very careful that you don't ever end up somewhere outside
of Nextel's area. I've seen this happen, with someone at the Anchorage
airport seeing me using my phone and asking how I was able to make a
call, when he had no coverage (no Nextel service in Alaska, almost no
GSM either yet, though this will change).
