Recently I posted a question and received very helpful responses.
However, despite my own postive experience, I've noticed that questions
such as yours seem to generate unnecessarily hostile replies. Try asking
the same question on IdenInsider and you will likely be attacked
unmercifully.
I am also new to Nextel, but as far as I can tell, you will need a cable
and a software package. The cables are available from Nextel and
Motorolla and come in USB and serial flavors. The software has names
such as webjal and ijal. From what I've seen, the software is more
problematic with the USB cable and the USB cable has some issues with
Win XP, so you might go for the serial cable. If you have a Mac, like
me, you are pretty much up a creek. Webjal costs $5. You can find out
about it at
www.ideninsider.com or howardforums.com. However, do not
simply go there an ask a question unless you enjoy abuse. Use the search
system and read the "sticky" threads.
Hope that helps.
