Best of the current phones - NEED OPINIONS

I am migrating from Verizon to Nextel.

1) What is the best performing phone of the clam shell design NON COLOR
screen?

2) What is the best performing phone of the clam shell design WITH COLOR
screen?

3) Opinions of the i530?

4) Any new info about the future i930?

Thank You

Unfortunately, you won't find any B&W Clam Phones anymore with the exception
of the i530 or the i60. Take the i530 because it is more durable than the
i60, plus you can store up to 600 contacts.

There is currently only 1 color phone--it's the i730. The i830 should be
coming sometime this spring followed by the i860 and the i930. If you
really want a color phone, take the i730.

It's basically a tougher i60c designed for Construction Supervisors. It
meets some military standards, but doesn't meet all military standards as
opposed to the i305. If you want a Nextel Phone that meets all military
standards, pick up an i305.

It's a Microsoft Windows Mobile-based Smartphone, combining Windows Mobile
PIM software with a Nextel Phone, plus it has a camera. Battery life might
be abmyssal, so the only phones that I would worry about are the i730, i830,
and even the i860. This will be the first Nextel Smartphone in the market,
though I wish I prefer Palm Handhelds over Pocket PC-based Handhelds.

BTW What features do you want?

Re: Best of the current phones - NEED OPINIONS

Thanks for the post.

Features? In order of preference

1) Great reception/transmission - minimal dropped calls

2) Ease of use

3) Preferred would be something that works in both US Market and
Mexico/Central America/Carribean, strictly for vacation.

4) Downloadable ringtones

Since I carry an IPAQ I don't need an organizer in my phone, but I
understand the i930 will work in both US and Int'l.
