I have had a Nextel i1000Plus for some time at through work and now I am
thinking of getting one for my wife. I am thinking of either the i60, i530,
or i305. Can anyone tell me what some of the plusses and minuses or each
are.
Also, as far as rate plans go, we are considering the Nextel Local Instant
Connect 500. My reasoning is as follows:
-I already have unlimited Direct Connect and this will allow my wife and I
unlimited Direct Connect with one another.
-We rarely make Long Distance calls now and when we do it is on a 3 cents a
minute plan.
-Since my wife works for the local public school district, she can get 10%
of the regular rate plan.
I actually started off looking for the least expensive rate plan from
Nextel, but the $35.99 plan had zero anytime minutes, so I thought the $4
additional for 500 anytime minutes is sort of a no brainer.
Also, did Nextel drop the costs on their plans recently? It seems like not
long ago, when I looked for a plan with unlimited Direct Connect, it was a
little bit more expensive.
If anyone with experience with this plan and/or these phones can give me
some input it would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The i60 has been discontinued.
Between the i530 or the i305 the i530 is a more compact phone. Both really
have about the same features.
The i530 also has a $50 mail-in rebate on it right now also the i530 is
available in all black or black and yellow.

Based on what you stated above this would be the best plan for her.

YEP! The change rate plans every month. Most stay the same but they have
gotten
way more agressive in the past 45 days.
