I just extended for two years and bought the i730. I want the i530, too, and
I want to move my SIM back and forth, depending on what I'm doing that day
(i.e. need rugged model for sports, etc). I was hoping I could just buy
the i520 and it would just redo the two years again but not double-up, but
the local store said I'd have to wait something like six months before I
could re-up again to get a new phone at the discounted-for-two-years price.
Does this sound right?

I for one would love to know if this is possible! When I went from my
i90c to my i95cl I assumed that I could just move the SIM from one to
the other. According to Nextel they said no. Of course, I also got bogus
info on my phone book, so, I will await replies to this eagerly.

No reason why you can't move the SIM around. I do it all the time.

Sorry- should have been awake when I read the post. You should be able to
find a place to pick up the i530, other than Nextel. Quite a few on Ebay.
