Direct connect question

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do you direct connect or alert
someone in your contacts list without opening the cover on an i730 phone?

The only thing you can do without opening the cover is access the recent
call list and dc someone or call them on speaker phone.

Hit the button with the square on it on the top of the phone and that
will bring up the recent call list and you can scroll through it with
the vol up and down buttons on the side of the phone and either hit the
ptt button or the speaker button over someone's name and dc or call them
with the speaker phone if you have that person dc or cell number in
contacts or call list.

You can also set up and use a voice tag.
