Nextel wallpaper post test.

I'm sending a quick couple of 130x130 .gif wallpapers to test and
see if this newsgroup can receive them.
If you get them feel free to use them yourself.
I create these and they are *NOT* for sale, they are freely
given to anyone who wishes to use them.
If I find them on Nexpimp or any other *pay* to download service,
the operator will be asked to remove them from there machines.

Very nice, but (and I'm not really scolding) this isn't a binary
newsgroup. Upload them to a web site and post the URLs here.

Re: Nextel wallpaper post test.

Considering that there has not been a reply to my query for a FAQ for
this newsgroup, and considering that the FAQ archives site does not
list a FAQ, then I would have to say that your statement about what
goes on in this newsgroup does not hold water. Just because a Usenet
newsgroup does not have binary in its name, does not mean binary
information can not be shared with the participants of that newsgroup.
Also, consider that this group is in the ALT group area, and
traditionally alt groups are a fly by the seat of your pants any thing
goes group.

BUT, I understand your concern. Similar statements are echoed through
out Usenet. Considering that I developed the wallpapers with my
Nextel i730 and the 130x130 format in mind, I believe this to be the
proper place for there *free* delivery. Also considering the limited
target area. If anyone wants them, then all they have to do is ask.
And besides I just thought I'd ask if any one did want a copy.

Other items that could be made freely available are say JAVA programs,
ring tones. You do not have to have a static newsgroup where most of
the posters are complaining about one thing or another. And Yes, I
know I just did the same thing with my warning about the A-GPS upgrade.
But I also came back and told of Motorola s fast response to my problem.

Also, I've included in thin post a few more walls with a different
theme.

I think you missed my statement that I wasn't scolding. I was just
making a comment, but this certainly isn't my newsgroup to make rules
about.

Re: Nextel wallpaper post test.

What's a good way to make wallpapers without interlacing?
I have a few photo programs and would like to put a pic of
my son on my phone...

Thanks

Paul
