I just wrote email to customer service asking if my plan (used to be
called National Breakthrough 10000... now seems to be called National
1000) offered unlimited numeric paging. I am pretty sure it did, but
never used it. I was looking for my original contract and couldn't find it.

Anyway, I see that the National 1000 (which is only $1 more) does have
it. I was told by customer service via email that NO plan includes
NUMERIC paging and that it's 15 cents a page.

HUH? I thought that ALL plans included the NUMERIC paging (numeric, not
TEXT) for free. I'm referring to the "press 1 to send a telephone
number page" when you get the persons voicemail.

Am I wrong?? I just looked at their web page and it shows the plan as
having "Unlimited Numeric Paging .... INCLUDED". What gives?

    Thanks!

Mmm...I've never heard anything about any of Nextel's plans including the text numeric paging. I would double check the website. Many of the plans include voicemail, but not the numeric paging.

Yikes. I may just call them and double check. I re-emailed them about
the discrepancy and she again, repeated that although we do "get" the
paging on our phones, it's 15 cents per message, regardless of text or
numeric. I dunno about that...It's sad when the web site says you get
it and they say you don't.
