Why does Nextel contimue to bring out the same phone in a different package.
(ie i860 vs i850 or i730 vs i836) and pretend they are giving us something
new. Customers are demanding "Smart Phones" and they give us an outdated
    Blackberry.

The i930 that has been advertised on this newsgroup is a myth. Nextel will
not release this phone now or in the future. They may at some point, and
with a lot of customer demand, release a different version but for now we
just get the same **** in a different package.

Because they can. Nextel subscribers are lame and will fall for any load of
crap you feed them. They lick it up.

    Re: New Phones

Nextel has two new phone that will be release on the 1st.
The i560 and the i760. Both are remodeled with the i560 receiving
a color screen. Both have improved plastics that will help the units
hold up better to drops and bounces and both will have a new second
comm channel. I'm told that it is something like the multi-channel
frequency search feature found on most portable home phones.
The i560, is taking the place of the i530, and the i760, is taking the
place of (yes you guess it) the i730.
What I've been told is that they are dropping the i530, i730 and the i830.
And also, sometime within the next two(2) months all Direct Connect stores
    will start selling Sprint phones.

The i836 took the place of the i830, not the i730.

I wish Nextel would get rid of the Blackberry and start talks with Palm to
have a Treo model for Nextel. The Blackberry PC desktop software is a
joke compared to the Palm PC Desktop software available for the Treo.

I'm still told that October is the expected release date for the i930 in
    the US.
