I have no idea where to turn on this, so I am posting here as well a few
other spots. Maybe it is a local thing, who knows.

For the past couple of months I've been getting calls on my Motorola
(Nextel) that show up as "716" and nothing else. They happen at seemingly
random intervals (although it has never happened in the late-night/early
mornings). If I answer, there is nothing at the other end and "it" hangs up
    after exactly 2 seconds.

Doing a search, I was able to find all of ONE person that had this problem
    and nobody replied.

Does anyone know what this is? It seems more like some kind of glitch to me
than someone harrassing me. In fact, there it goes again, as I type this.

Nextel told me there is nothing they can do. I am sort of thinking I just
got an idiot, helpless rep, though.

Any advice/help/info is appreciated. Thanks. This is driving me ****ing
    insane.

716 is the A/C for Western NY State. NY/PA state line to about Batavia, NY.
Maybe a call from that A/C? Just a guess.

No clue. It clearly has something to do with a business whether it be a
computer scanning for active numbers, a non-functioning fax, a telemarketer,
etc because I just noticed I never receive these calls on the weekends or
    after business hours!

I sent Sprint/Nextel an email and they gave me some toll-free number to
    call. I'll call tomorrow.
