I just came onto Nextel from Verizon. Verizon was sending to many of my
calls to voice mail. Signed up on their web site. I got two i560s for
$150 (his & hers). Free shipping, Free activation. Your problem may be
that your contract still has 10 months to go on it. Wait until your
contract is up, then deal with them. I bet you will get a much better deal.
If you can't wait, try some other vendors. I found a pretty good deal
at Amazon.com of all places. I would have gotten the phones cheaper from
Amazon but I would have had to pay activation on two phones. The savings
evaporated. Had I bought only one phone, or two plans for over $39.99
each instead of the shared minutes plan I choose, I would have come out
ahead.
If your
SIM card is compatible, then I think that to upgrade a phone,
all you do is to pay for the phone and swap the
SIM card. On my two
i560s I can switch which phone is on what number just by exchanging the
SIM cards.
