I am tired of paying the high costs to log in to my dial up account while at
a hotel. Has anyone used the i90 to log into a dial up account and if so
did you have to do anything special with your nextel account?

    Thanks

You need either the 'full' web package ($10) or the 'total' package
($15). I could be off on the names but the prices are correct. Then
you need to call and have them provision circut switched data on your
    phone.

From there, you just install the iDEN modem (just like a normal modem
/w some extra init strings) and dial up your ISP as you would from any
    modem.

While Nextel may say you can get 56K I have seen nothing close to that
speed. Expect about 9.6Kbps. Ok for reading text only sites like
Google Groups and So-So for downloading mail if you turn off
attachments, etc. Don't expect to surf the web or VPN in to your
    company's network.

Usage counts just like a cellular phone call.
