#1 | | Guest | I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about Extend America, other
than what is listed on thier website. I have seen construction on
towers in locations rumoured to be owned by Extend America.

I don't think I've seen very much about the project in the press. Just
out of curiosity, where are you seeing the towers? I think we're all
interested in know ing where the network is building out.

The towers I have seen have been in the area of Bismarck, North Dakota.
This all makes sense as Extend America is headquarted in Bismarck. I
have no proof the towers belong to Extend America, but Qwest Wireless is
failing, and Western Wireless d/b/a Cellular One (West) and Verizon and
affiliates already have good signal. The only other possibility that I
could conclude is that it might be a TDMA cell site from Western
Wireless, as they are vigorously expanding thier TDMA network (ironic,
providing that they don't provide TDMA service to any of their own
customers, only on roaming contracts).
