In the Radio Shack flyer in Sunday's paper, Camera Phones got page 1.

    PTT got page 2.

I must be a minority then. I just purchased a digital camera, but I don't
need nor desire a camera phone. The camera is a toy I just don't need on a
cell phone. Mobile Internet is useful to me, but not the camera.

PTT may be aimed at Business people, but let me tell you I have
personally witness HUGE numbers of college kids using Nextel
phones. I work at a University and I would gues-timate that approx.
40% of the cell phones I see in use are Nextel phones with the
students using the DC feature. Very annoying because I never
know if its my phone beeping, or someone elses! >

Now, obviously I can't say how many of the other 60% are
camera phones as I would rarely see those in use I'm sure. I imagine
that also, due to the relative newness of camera phones that they
haven't made a major impact in the market place yet...that really
isn't the point of my post here. My point is that there are plenty of
college age students are want and use PTT phones.

I have a digital camera as well... probably looking to upgrade
in the near future actually. I would love to have a camera in
my phone simply to beable to take snap shots when I don't have
my camera with my. However, I would NEVER go some place
I plan on taking picutres and use just a phone camera. The resultion,
storage space, and option of the camera on the phone just ain't
gonna cut it. No way, no how.

Yep- a link as big as the 'About Us' link- a far cry from where they were a
    week ago.

And if they want people to think that it was intentional to remove PTT in an
effort to promote camera phones, where are the ads? Not one, period. Even
Nextel is promoting their yet-to-be-released phones in their new
commercials. This advertising 'stumble' is a little hard to explain.

Hmmmmm- of course, this can't be the case- they all want camera phones.
    Next excuse, please.

Not really. School is back in session and Verizon sees a bigger revenue
from students returning to school using Camera Phones rather than PTT
phones. The "Push to Talk" link listed under the "For Business" header
is easy to see...unless ofcourse your blind.

PTT is squarely aimed at Business to Business consumers, Verizon
Wireless wants in the business segment more and its making great headway
into the Business Sector with PTT services.

Then where are the ads? They spent a ****load of money advertising a
'warmed over' (sound familiar?) product like PTT, but their next big thing
doesn't merit mention in their national advertising. Not even a press
release outlining a change in their advertising scheme- something they do
everytime a new series of commercials is in production.

Sure- and that's why they advertised PTT with their CONSUMER PRICE PLANS and
    not their business plans.

THey banked on PTT, lost, and now are scrambling to pick up the pieces. End
    of story.
