Playing cards and clips, you had playing cards and clips!?

In my day we had to paint clothes on.

(I listen to a lot of old time radio and during WWII they actually had paint
that women could use so it looked like they were wearing nylons.)

I wondered that as well, but soon realized the original post was
crossposted to the exact same set of newsgroups as those stupid
"Bin Laden" and "Superman" posts of the last month.

Things that make you go "Hmmm..."

I remember polio and learning to walk again. I remember having to learn
how to use radios and cell phones because it was the only way to get any
help. I remember the nuclear terror of that era- the folks who though
Cuba was going to drop the bomb. I remember my best friend being
    lynched because he was black.

Sure, I remember the good things, and the bad stuff too. No firemen
came to the rescue when houses around me caught fire. So what does
this have to do with you?

And you tell that to the kids today, and do you think they'll believe
    you? Of course not!

We had seven kids in our family, all living at the bottom of a lake!
