You can use it in phone mode too, in which case you only pay when you're
actually talking, by the second, instead of both paying per minute while
    thinking, listening, and talking.

Don't get me wrong -- I wouldn't mind having PTT as a "feature." But
unless there's some unusual curcumstances I would not pay, for example,
$20 more per month for it.

Then you are so misinformed- I pay $39.99/month per phone D/C included
    - nothing extra for it.

Last I checked - $39.99 is going rate for other carrieres that do not have
    D/C

Where did you get this $20 extra crap from anyway?

FYI Nextel phones are also phones-

Nextel doesn't charge for their push-to-get-service service, because
they have no service in so many places that Verizon has solid
    coverage.

293 out of the top 300 markets- Verizon doesn't claim that, Nextel does.

I was talking about Verizon. I wouldn't consider Nextel. Their cell
phone service stinks. I don't even like calling Nextel users, because
of the way the phone rings, the idiotic "I'm looking for the Nextel
customer" message, and the call usually drops or the person is hard to
    understand.
