GPS Service with Nextel Phones

To anyone of you who have GPS-Enabled Nextel Phones....

I realized that there have been bastions of Nextel Phones that have GPS
Capabilities, but I realized that there could be hidden costs arising
from the use of the GPS Feature in select Nextel Phones, namely the ones
that have GPS-Capabilities.

If you have a Nextel Phone with GPS, and if you have GPS enabled, how
much does it cost a month? I'm just curious. Walk me through with this
because I'm kind of worried as of this point because the GPS might be a
buying point for me but I need to know more information about costs and
use of the GPS Feature in select Nextel Phones. Thanks.

It depends on what you're doing with it. Personally, I just use it as a
speedometer, and once my data cable arrives, as a GPS receiver. In this
case, no charges.

If you're having Nextel track you (fleet?) then I suspect there might be
charges, but I haven't really looked into it yet.

Re: GPS Service with Nextel Phones

How to you set it up as a speedometer? I have the i730 and don't see many
apps available for the GPS yet. Telenav is there but it isn't free.

Re: GPS Service with Nextel Phones

I already have StreetFinder but I'm also planning to get a Laser
Detector for my Car so what do you guys think? Should I get the i730
anyway? Yes? No? I'm not planning to play too many games out of it
neither I am going to be using GPS on it (if I get a Laser Detector for
my Car but I also have StreetFinder on my Palm Tungsten C), but what do
you guys think if I'm not going to be playing games and/or using the GPS
Feature?
