External Antennas

Anyone have any experience with external antennas and reception? I have a
few places I visit that Nextel service is a little sporadic and thought an
roof mounted antenna on the car might help. Thanks...David

Re: External Antennas

Check out http://www.wilsonelectronics.com

They have a great selection of external antennas and adaptors for all of
the phones. I am using their Nextel magnet mount antenna and see a 10 to
18db gain over the built in antenna. I was able to use my phone in an
area that is usually a "no service" area. Weak signal areas where
dropped calls are a problem become strong signal areas.

Just my experience.

RE: External Antennas

I got a magnetic mount from www.alternativewireless.com, works great. I
just put it in the back window of my car, take it with me into my house, or
put it into my briefcase for travelling.
