G'day,
I'm writing a ringtone manager for linux and dos, and i'm wondering if
there's a website or something with details about frequencies and
durations used by the composer in nokia 3310 and similar phones, and
how they correlate to musical notes and rests.
Also, what exactly does the '.' mean? I know that it means to hold the
key when entering the ringtone, but what does it mean musically? It's
not described in my 3310 manual.

So what exactly is a 'ringtone manager' ?

....and why would we(TINW) need such a beast for Linux, DOS, or even
Windows for that matter ?

Not saying you do, but my girlfriend and I have collected a number of
ringtones from various sites and instead of just storing them in a text
file, I decided to write an organiser for them. I can add, delete,
search and edit my ringtones and I'm trying to add the ability to
listen to them.

That doesn't help me, sorry. I need the actual frequencies and times.
