indie-mobile has over 50,000 free ringtones in the MIDI format which is
supported by most modern phones. "Polyphonic tones" generally means MIDI.

But, at indie-mobile we recognize we might not have what you're looking for
and so we present myMobile

No personal information is required to sign up. Just click "Create an
Account" and then enter the nickname and password you want. Click "create"
and then log in. That's all there is to it. You can now upload any number
of files with the only restriction being that only files which are 150KB or
less can be downloaded. This limit subject to change. I'm assuming
wallpapers and ringtones safetly fit inside this limit.

Currently any type of file can be uploaded. Any type of file can be
downloaded to the PC but only MIDI files can be downloaded to cellphones
(instructions on site when you log in). This is a new feature of
indie-mobile so many new features will be added including the ability to
autogenerate wallpapers from pictures you upload so you can then download
them to your phone.

myMobile will provide you an easy way to get anything you want onto your
phone. All for free*.

The first file types that will be made possible to be downloaded to phones
are MIDI, JPG and MP3. Other file types will be considered. If you know of
another file type your phone supports, let us know and we'll add support to
myMobile.
