I have a Nokia 6310i the ringtones are awful. I need some new ones, I have
lurked, but I have not sussed this out. I download .mid files, then what?
    Many thanks
    Mick
PS I use a Palm Tungsten and I know there are palm software to transfer
ringtones, this may well be the wrong ng to ask about that issue.

I'm pretty sure that the 6310i doesn't support midi ring tones

When you save them in the phone, they are converted from MIDI

The Nokia 6310i does not use .mid (MIDI) files and uses RTTL (.txt)
format tones only. You can find RTTL ring tones on the net (some for
free) or you can compose your own with Nokring (also available with a
google search.) You'll need a data cable to upload them to the phone
    or send them via SMS.

The 6310i will use a single channel midi file uploaded with logomanager
