Hi,
I see you have got v3.49.1 05-12-03 on your orange 6600.
I've just purchased a brand new sim free 6600 with the original
firmware and I have a few questions for you...
Is WAP extremely slow? It is pretty slow on mine compared to my
6610 (using basic dialup o2 wap, also virgin wap is pretty slow too)
Do apps 'bomb out' from time to time, i.e. the phone just say 'app
closed ****' ?
does email fully work? mine has a few times said 'app closed' and gone
back to the previous menu when replying to an email.
And finally, have you got a 'call not allowed' message when trying to
make a call from time to time?
Hopefully in your firmware (the latest) these few probs are cured.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Im using GPRS for wap and yes it is a bit slow.
I was on wap dial up on my 7650 and that seemed just as quick!

I have had this happen once upto now.

Re: Firmware 6600...
What are the improvements in 3.48.1 ?
Called a Nokia Service Point yesterday, overhere in Holland, and indeed: it
seems that for a few countries is an update of the firmware available, but
not yet for the BeNeLux ...

Re: Firmware 6600...
I'm not sure because I've not done it yet.
It sure fixes the SMS bug, (confirmed by local Nokia Technical Assistance).
I'm still setting all the configurations on my phone and then, (next week),
I'll update the firmware.

If y use special caracthers in your SMS it divides the message in three
bodies, sending one at each time...

Re: Firmware 6600...
I've noticed this also, when I use the "ë"! And when I want to send a
business-card via SMS, it divides the message in even more parts!
