I put a password to the MMC card of my nokia 3650 but unfortunately i don't
remember the password anymore.I tried to backup my data manually BUT the MMC
is not readable from ANY "memory reader"(i was informed
that the "reading" of the MMC is denied until i UNblock the card).I went in
a nokia point and they told me to put the card to the rubbish!!!!I insiste
and said to them that this is immposible(That NOKIA dont tell them to know
how to unlock a memory card!!) I asked some other people who they know about
mobiles and they said that this is something that they haird first time!!!
What can I do to format in someway the MMC???????????
If anyone has ANY idea or solution i would be VERY grateful.
THANKS

hi there..
have u tried putting your card into a portable card reader then
connecting it to your pc, usually by USB. your pc should recognize
your reader as a drive....
you should now be able to right click that drive and format your
card....some card readers enable u to do this i'm not sure if all
do...
hope it helps

Bare in mind when reading the following that I have a 6600 - i couldn't lay
my hands on a 3650 at the time
As a test I just password protected a spare MMC card I have. I entered the
menu , then selected extra's then memory, then options, then format memory
card, phone then says formatting memory card will lose data - continue ?
selecting yes, formats the card and removes the password, no prob's..
I tried it 3 ways, 1st way was using the mem card in the 6600 and setting
the password then formatting , the 2nd way was setting the password in my
9210 then putting it into my 6600 and formatting, the 3rd way was
passwording in my 6600 and then formatting on my 9210 each time was
successfull in formatting and clearing the password.
try that on ya 3650 if no go maybe find somebody with a 6600 or 9210

Unfortunately the only MMC "readers" I have is my Kodak CX6330 digicam and
my Nokia 9210...hehehe... I consider the USB card reader a waste of time,
furthermore it seems to wear off the copper contacts on the MMC itself.
