Backup SMS on Nokia 3650 Symbian phone?

I had a 3650, it's now dying rapidly, I'm moving to a different phone and
want to backup the text messages which don't seem to get backed up with
Nokia PC Suite. I've looked at http://www.oxygensoftware.co.uk/ and
http://mobileways.de/M/1/0/0/ and they do what I want but they also do too
much, and to be honest, call me cheap, but I don't really want to pay for
something I'm going to use once only!

ALL I want to do it backup all SMS to one file on the PC via infra-red.
Possible? Some freeware out there?

I don't know the answer to your problem, but I have to ask: why do you
need to keep these messages?

I moved from 3650 to 6600, and when I cleared out part of mmc, I left my
data, just cleared the nokia folder, and inside the system folder, del'eed
all but the mail folder.

the sms's saved are now in my new fone.
And the reason I did this, cuz there are some very personal sms's there from
some1 close and thats why Id try and save them.
