    Can anyone help...?

Can the MBC-15S be used as a holder only? I was looking at one in an
o2 store today and it looks to me like it passes through the POP-Port
connection and then the full car kit plugs into this on the holder.
No-one in the should could tell me if this is the case...

What I want to do is this:

Install the MBC-15S and then just plug my car charger and HS-5 headset
    into the MBC-15S

If I can do this, then how does the MBC-15S actually mount on the
    dash. Screws?

    TIA

Yes, via a swivel mount so you can adjust it any direction you want.

Great, will the phone then register as being in a car kit or as
    handsfree?

Right, i've just tried it and it comes up as handsfree.
I used my 6610 in the MBC-15S holder, using a HDB-4 boom headset and
    lch9 in car charger.
