Help !! My Nokia 3310 does not accept a new SIM card ...

Hi Nokia people !

A time ago, I bought my Nokia 3310 in Hungary. I used a SIM card of the
pannongsm provider. Recently, I went to Belgium. There I bought a new
(Belgian) SIM card of the Base provider. After replacing the SIM card, it
doesn't accept my SIM card after entering the pin code. This is strange.

I always thought you can put whatever SIM card in whatever mobile phone. It
seems that this is not the case. Or did I forget to set a setting before
replacing the SIM card ? Is the cause of the problem located in the Nokia
phone or the SIM card of the new provider ?

Is there anybody who can help me ???

My guess is that the phone is locked to the Hungarian
network. It can be unlocked with a cable and software.
or it can also be unlocked using a code.

I'd say your phone was sim-locked ..
