    Hi,

I just got one, which still contains many of the previous owner's contacts,
messages, etc. Is there a way to clear it's ram of it? Returning it to
    factory defaults is ok too.

    Thanks,

Remove the battery then replace and as soon as the loading screen comes up
press Ctrl and shift then F. This will format the 9210, so you will have to
upload all the extra programs again.

This format procedure doesnt delete the sms stored in the phone though.
Select all items, then press Ctrl+D to delete.

Yes it does, it format the whole thing, only SMS would be those left on the
    SIM.

Really? I tried twice with my 9210 today, my contacts (on communicator
memory) and the messages on the communicator were still there...
