I've just stumbled onto this newsgroup, so apologies if I'm repeating a
question...Can anyone get their 6600 and pc suite working? My lap top worked
fine with my last Nokia, but this just isn't working. I'm using the infra
red connection. I know the connection works, as I've used the phone as a
modem, but it won't hold the connection with the PC Suite. Any ideas?
    Cheers

I have had manage to get the pc suite software talking via infra-red. I have
noticed sometimes if I cannot establish the connection I have to restart the
    phone

Yeah it can be so frustrating. I had no end of problems with a Wavelinker
BT dongle I borrowed off my mate. Bought a TDK dongle (30quid from
    expansys) and its much better.

It looks like the Nokia mRouter software only works when the phone replies
back, I dont seem to be able to use mRouter to initiate the connection.
What I do it use TDK BT serial port utility to send a request to the phone
and start the connection, the phone answers and them mRouter picks it up.
I've also heard that firewalls cause problems as they can block the BT
connection, try turning off any firewalls initially to see if that's the
    problem

    Good Luck

First off change to Zone Alarm (software firewall).

I use ZA and no problems with bluetooth, ZA will ask if it's ok, you
    answer yes...

Keep trying I've read and had it happen to me. Using Bluetooth and
PC suite I kept disconnecting. After a few uses (and reboots) it takes
a hint and finally establishes a permanent connection. Unless you do a
back-up, that will most likely disconnect half way through.
