PUK code

My son has forgotten his code how do I go about unlocking the phone its a
5210 thanks

If you have entered the pin incorrectly *i think* 3 times, the phone
then requires a PUK code which can be obtained by ringing your network
operator i.e. o2, voda etc..

Wrong pin code 3 times requires a PUK code.
Wrong pin code 10 times destroys the sim card.

Isn't it wrong pin code 3 times requires PUK, wrong PUK 5 times requires new
sim?

Not sure how you'd enter the PIN code wrongly another 7 times when it's
asking for PUK.

if it is on o2 then you can get the code from their website.

Since the PUK code has NOTHING to do with the phone, it´s no need for
registering the phone.

Do you really mean that if I have a private SIM card and have no
phone, but sometimes put the card in my job phone, the service
provider would refuse to give me the PUK for the _CARD_????

The PUK doesn't unlock the phone, it unlocks the SIM card.

If you mean the unlock code for the phone, you might need to go to a
service point.

If you´re talking about unlocking the SIM-lock, you better contact
your network operator or your service provider.

It's actually PUK code wrong 10 times that wrecks the SIM.

With Orange you have to register a phone as well as your sim. Probably to
stop dodgy phones being sold.
