    Hi all!

My laptop computer doesn't recognize the 3650. The Infrared ports are
activated both in the computer and in the mobile. My laptop computer runs
over Windows 98. Is it possible that I should install a new IrDA driver in
the computer, or simply they are not compatible? Where can I find a updated
    IrdA driver?

    Thank you !!

    Re: 3650 IrDA question

I had the same problem. IrDA port did not work. Somebody told me that anyway
IR port does not allow to transfer pictures.
I bought a widcomm bluetooth dongle. That works fine in combination with
    3650.

The problem is that when you install the PC Suite you need to choose
the SDK option during setup so that the connection manager is
installed. There is also a IRDA driver available from Nokia's website
that will help but at best the IR connection on this phone is unstable
and at worst even when functioning it can't maintain a reliable
connection for anything more than short periods.

The best thing you can do is get a BT dongle. I got a PenBlue on ebay
for like $20 and it works great. The actual hardware isn't the
important part it's the sw. Most if not all the generic dongle use the
Widcomm chipset (i.e. software) which tends to work best with the
3650. We've got 3 3650's in our family and have had very little
issues with this dongle for this phone for syncing to outlook,
    transferring files and so on.
