you will prob be running the newer firmware then if you bought your
6600 direct from orange.

cheers. as i thought you have got the latest firmware currently on
orange 6600's. Sounds like some of the probs I had with the original
firmware V3.42.1 may have been fixed.

Is there any way I can update myt firmware to the current version?

take it to a nokia service centre, free under warranty. although I
don't think the latest firmware version is in full circulation yet - I
think its just on orange 6600s at the moment.

They're about to come out with a 6620, that fixes alot of the shortcomings
in the 6600
