My wife bought me a Nokia 7250i phone (Orange) and although it seems a great
little phone I am confused about how to connect it to my PC to transfer
ringtones/logos etc. I've seen two types of connectors, one being an IR
connector and the other which plugs directly into the phone (data cable?).

My question is which is the one to go for. I've heard various (sometimes
conflicting) stories about the plug in lead not being compatible with
Nokia's own PC Suite software. Is there other 3rd party software that will
do the same job. So, is it to be the IR lead of the plug-in data cable?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm a complete novice at this.

    Mike.

You'll probably get a great deal less grief from an IR adaptor, plus the
advantage of being to use it for other phones, PDA's etc. Many of the
cloned Nokia cables do not function properly and will be unsupported by PC
Suite, but *may* work with Logomanager, MobiMB or Oxygen.
