Carkit Antenna

In my car is present the Nokia CARK134 Full Car Kit. I use it for my
Nokia 3510 phone.
Sometimes the receipt is very poor (between high buildings and on
roads between open fields). So i think i need an extra antenna.
In the manual for the carkit the external antenna AMD-2 is suggested.
The disadvantage of the AMD-2 is the price (not a NOGO) and the fact
you have to drill a hole in the car body.
Is there a good alternative for the AMD-2 ? I'm thinking of a glass
mounted antenna or something like that.
Does anybody have a suggestion ? If so, maybe also an internet site to
order the alternative.

Thnx in advance for your input.

Brgds, SharkS4

Re: Carkit Antenna

Of course they recommend that antenna since it's a Nokia antenna. (me
synical, surely not)

You didn't mention where you are located so it's hard to recommend a
supplier but there are loads of suitible glass mount antennas around. Most
use the FMA connector which is standard for all Nokia kits.

Re: Carkit Antenna

Sorry, no, I don't know any brand names for mobile antennas. The majority
are not branded and usually are made cheaply in Asia. Just do a quick google
search and look for online shops that sell them in Holland.
