I've just swapped from a 3510 to a 3510i (both on orange payg). On the old
3510 it never saved sent messages to the Sent Items folder which was fine by
me. On the 3510i it _always_ saves the and I can't find any way of turning off
this feature. Is it possible at all ??

    Cheers

Not that I know of, but why is this a problem..? Personally I find it very
useful, as I always forget to save..!

Because I have no need to keep messages I sent, and I'd rather use the space
to keep messages I've recieved. I'm finding I'm getting "message memory nearly
full" errors after about 30-40 messages in the inbox compared to 200+ on the
old 3510, but half of it is cos the sent items is full of worthless (to me)
    stuff....

Just personal preference - it would be nice to have the option....

Understood, but the way I do it is to save any messages I do want to keep
in individual folders under "My folders". The auto save is just useful as
I would otherwise forget to do so.

I have found it useful to hang on to a copy of a sent message for a few
days at least, then when someone claims you didn't send them one, you can
    prove you did..!

Doesn't prove it was delivered though..... unless you save the delivery
    reports as well

If my friends say that they didn't receive a message I tend to believe them

I do, if it's an important message, that's the point of using them..!

So do I, but I don't just send to friends..!

However each to his own, this way works for me.
