i have a problem with my 7650 "contacts"

the problem is my phone also has another language besides English -
I can't search for a contact person in my own language - it's stuck only on
English.

Is there anywayI can fix this problem without having all my memory deleted?
is there a software that can try fixing this problem? (like a 7650 scan
disk)
