BEWARE!!! Trac Fone is the DEVIL of service providers!! I know after working
for Radio Shack for 3 years I have never had a customer that was happy with
it. Every one that i have sold has come back to haunt me!! Roaming can cost
    up to $4.00 a min.

Its funny, I have a tracfone, but i barely use it. I utilize it as a highly
functional, and easily accessible Voice mail box, and thats it. When time is
about to expire, i just drop another card on it, or use it all up on my long
distance i'd put on my landline anyway.

Then again, my tracfone is linked with verizon, not another lesser network, so
ive got incredible reception where I am. Dont even need to blow minutes check
ing my messages, i just call it from a landline and im set.

If you're going the TDMA route on TracFone, then eCallPlus is a better deal.
As low as $3.33/month, with no extra charge for roaming calls. For CDMA,
TracFone on Verizon, is the best choice.

I've got four of them now, 3-2285's and an 1100.....The biggest P.I.T.A is dealing with the service reps...but...they will give you comp. time at the drop of a hat if you are unhappy....They keep a log on users...Last rep let it slip that I have had a lot of problems...

I don't understand the $4/min either?? It's either single unit or double deductions....that's it....
