Oxygen Phone Manager II will do the job! You can download the trial version
of OPM-II here: http://www.opm-2.com
Serial COM cable is not original, therefore it may not transfer properly (or
transfer at all) polyphonic tones, color images and JAVA midlets and games
as well, as MMS messages. Therefore, we strongly don't recommend to use
third-party connectivity devices, whether any other official connectivity
(DKU-5 cable or infrared) is available.
Feel free to contact our technical support service directly, if you will
encounter any problems concerning program's functionality and/or
registration process!

Yeah, buy an IR adaptor. They're cheap enough to buy, plus you're not tied
to a Nokia standard when you next want to change your phone. Plus, it'll
work fine with PC Suite and all the third party software.
