I previously used the SE HBH-35 BT headset with a SE T68i phone. With the
right settings I could:
- Always have the phone ringing on an incoming call
- Answer the call either on the phone or on the headset, the sound would be
transferred accordingly to phone or headset.
- Start a call from either phone or headset, sound transferred accordingly.
Basically, I could always have the headset on, and bluetooth on the phone
on, and not miss a call. With the 6600 and the HBH-35 combo, I cannot
achieve this same behaviour. The only time when the phone is ringing is on
the first call, after that *all* sound is put through the headset (and
through the headset only, I was used to put the headset on when I heard the
phone ringing in the car, or take the call on the phone else, now I have to
keep it on because only the headset rings).
It seems that the headset stays connected to the 6600 whereas on the T68i
the connection was closed after the call ended. Do Nokia headsets have the
same behaviour? Are there any suggestions for a workaround or anything to
achieve the flexibility that the SE combo had in matters bluetooth? For the
rest, the 6600 is a great phone, and I have no intentions to return to the
t68i (or to SE).
Regards,
Erik

This isn't a bug it's by design and function of the handsfree profile
Nokia has chosen to use on it's BT enabled handsets. Your SE uses the
headset profile. Both are valid options and each company in this case
has chosen a different BT audio profile.
Also there's no way to change a Nokia to use the headset profile or a
SE to use the handsfree profile.

Thanks, I think I do have a setting on the SE to put the sound to either
phone or headset. Is there a technical reason why companies not just offer
a choice between headset or handsfree profile to the end user in the phone
settings?
