Nokia 6600 System error

Hi,
i have a 6600 with a 32 MB MMC. Yesterday I tried to install a program on
the MMC, unfortunally a Symbiam program for the P800!
This result in that I can't start the phone without getting a message
"System Error". The phone is OK when starting without thr MMC.

1) Is there a way to start the phone without activeting the MMC during boot,
so I can backup some photos and movies and maybe delete the program causing
the errorwith a filemanager ?

2) Any if not, how to format the card when the phone don't start properly ?

Peter

G'day Peter,

Not sure but if you reformat your card in windows but make sure as fat16 I
think you then should be able to use it again in you phone.

If You have Nokia PC-suite installed, download Epocware PC File Manager and
install. http://www.aivanet.com/en/index.php?show=1

Try to start Your phone and if there is "system error" message, leave it be.
Don't shutdown the phone.
Browse MMC card and delete program folder causing this problem. Propably
it's located in E:\system\apps\xxx

You can use card reader as well. Bluetooth connection is required for PC
File Manager. Card reader uses USB connection.
I recommend You to purchace a MMC card reader if You don't have it yet.

Don't format MMC card if You don't have backup. You loose all your software
and other stuff located in memory card.
