Help : 6600 playing midi files?

Hi - i have a 6600 and think its wonderful - I have a slight problem -
I play midi files on the phone with the recorder, but as soon as the
screen saver starts the recorder stops playing. Is there any way
around this?

Obviously I dont want to stop the screen saver from starting - because
then the battery will die quickly. So what I need is a way to let the
recorder keep on playing while the screen save is active.
