Nokia 8390 keeps saying "Low Battery".

Hi group,

I have a Nokia 8390 for several years and it's acting up lately. I have 2
Li-Ion batteries I rotate between (use one, fully charge the other, rotate).
Once a week, on a half-full (or even fully charged) battery, the phone would
beep and says "Low Battery". It even go as far as switching off the phone
as if my battery really died. Yet, my battery is fully charged. If I turn
it back on, the battery indicator says full strength and I can go on for
another 4-5 days.

Since it happens on both batteries, I suspect it is a problem with the phone.
But what can be the cause of this?

thanks.

As the it sounds like both batteries have had the same amount of use, then
they both could still be knackered. Plus you did say you've had it for
'several years'.

I have a similar prob with my 5210. Keeps turning off. Helps a lil if I
clean the battery's contacts - but mine's a 2+ years old battery, time for
replacement.
