Went to send a text message this morning and as it was sending my 6100
powered off! Now when attempting to power on just lights up, then straight
off again! There's nothing wrong with the battery or sim-card. Anything I
can do before waiting god knows how long to have it repaired by Nokia/O2?!?

Also I was wondering if the 6100 uses a different method of storing the
phonebook information in comparison to a 3410 (which I'm temporarily using
my Sim card in) - I can't see any numbers in the 3410!

    Any help/advice much appreciated.

    Thanks.

by default the nokia 6100 saves in phone and sim, but normally saves to
phone first. - that explains why u cant see ur phone book in 3410. I
normally set my phones to SIM only phone book first thing they come out of
    the box

aside to your problem, check the battery is fully charged up because that
behaviour I get when the battery is dead.

if not it's nokia u need to speak to i'm afraid, if ur still under 12 months
old they should repair for free within 24 working hours

    Thanks for your replies people.

My local Nokia service centre had the phone working again within two hours.
It was a simple case of 're-flashing' the firmware with the latest version!

    Cool!
