I can make good connection with IrDA and use all "mini-apps" (Sync/WAP
Manager etc), all of which bring up the green phone icon when
connected. Alas, Phonebook Editor resolutely refuses to show a green
icon even when the Settings/Connection page shows a good connection.
As a result, there is no Phone folder to use in the Editor, which
makes it useless!

Any suggestions or like experiences?
