Hi everyone, I set up a new concept for the mobile phone industry, have any
idea where I should start to have my new function integrated within a cell
phone so I can have it patented ?
Thank you.

Re: new idea - patent
contacted Nokia yesterday already but I don't know if they'll answer.
Can't share a new concept which is not patented in a forum ;-)
I just don't know where to start to have my "idea" produced at least once.
Do you know ?

Where are you located..? In the UK I would say contact the Patent Office,
they will tell you if anyone else has thought of it first. If you are
elsewhere, there is probably an equivalent organisation..?

The problem would be somebody else reading here and then patenting it before
you - although you'd be able to invalidate their patent with prior art.
If you wish to make commercial gain from this idea then you need to patent
it iun order to protect your intellectual property.

You don't need a working sample in order to do that, just a well thought out
description of a particular implementation. Speak to a patent attorney.

Re: new idea - patent
This info is very important to me because I don't have the money yet to have
an example realized. Hope it is the same in France. Thank you.

Don't forget that you will likely want to cover America and most of Europe
with this patent - which will require you to submit at least two patents.
Doing so just in France will not give you much protection.
