Can this phone be converted over to use on a Verizon system, as the opening
screen says Cingular? I was told there is a card to remove from the phone
that can be changed, also told there was a software change that can be made
as well. Reason for change, Cingular not in my area of operation. Thanks

Re: Nokia 5165
Yes, you can have a Nokia 5165 (TDMA/Analog Trimode) modified and turned
into a 5185 (CDMA/Analog Trimode), but don't expect to spend less than about
$1000.
Why not just buy a used Nokia 5185 off e-bay for $20 + $5 shipping?
