Newbie - 6800 - Wallpaper question

I just got the Nokia 6800 and I want to create my own wallpaper and use my
own MIDI files for sounds. Is it possible to email or otherwise transmit
the files to the phone or do I have to have a special cable or software?

You would need software such as MobiMB from
http://www.logomanager.co.uk/php/products.php?id=51 and a Nokia DKU5
cable or equivalent (also sold on the LogoManager site- they have the
genuine Nokia one as well as an alternative brand).

MobiMB software will allow you to transfer your .mid files and any
image files to the 6800, as well as java games.

I am sure that you have your own midi editing software if you are
thinking of creating your own ringtones, but in case you don't or as
an alternative, there is also PolyPhonix which is a midi editor
specifically designed for the Nokia phone ringtones. It allows you to
prioritise tracks for the phone to deal with as well as choose the
right instruments that your phone can play. I like the fact that it
also allows you to use the vibration of the phone as one of the
instruments.

Try Oxygen Phone Manager II - http://www.opm-2.com. Besides loading
wallpapers and MIDI sounds from files it has the color Logo Editor
that allows you either to edit the wallpapers you already have or to
create your own wallpapers from scratch.
To connect your phone to PC you will need a special cable or
InfraRed adapter.
